"Suffering" with an abundance of basil this past summer, I decided to make some pesto and freeze it. I adapted a couple of recipes adding grated cheese, sunflower seeds, garlic, oil and the like and put it in my blender to make a paste. I then put it in a small plastic bag, cut a hole in a corner and dribbled it into an empty ice cube tray. After freezing it, I then loaded it into freezer bags to use as needed throughout the winter. I now have a convenient supply to use in a variety of recipies. What a joy!

Hey, welcome back! Been looking for a new post. :-)

I would say hi to you if I saw you walking around with a Kitchen Aid.

Good luck with the move, and hope to see more of you (and your dishes) soon!

Have a great week,
